Stephanie Sigman, a Mexican-American actress. Her debut role was in the film Miss Bala, a Mexican crime drama film Miss Bala. The actress went on to appear in Pioneer (2013), Spectre (2015), Going Under (2016), and Annabelle: Creation (2017). Sigman was a major character in Narcos (2015), S.W.A.T. (2017) and the second season of both shows. Sigman was born in Ciudad Obregon, Sonora, Mexico, to a Mexican mother and an American father, Lee Sigman, a New York Yankees scout from Kansas. Before making her debut in film in Rio de Oro, she started her career as a Mexican TV star. In 2011 she was cast in the lead character of Laura Guerrero in the Mexican crime-drama film Miss Bala. Six years ago, the Mexican entry in the category of Best Foreign Language Film was picked at the 84th Academy Awards. [7][8] However, it didn't make it to the shortlist. In recognition of her film performance, Sigman was nominated in 2011 for the Dublin Film Critics Circle Award. In 2010, she starred in the Canadian documentary Flight of the Butterflies the following year. In 2013, Sigman co-starred in the Norwegian thriller Pioneer
